Motivation doesn't last longer right? You need to take the doses of motivation frequently. Like bathing doesn't last longer so recommend to take bath everyday. It's not that difficult believe me. When I was in school I was ugly well that thing hasn't changed yet but what I am trying to say is that I didn't had confidence. I always lacked confidence. Which was making me distracted with the things I always wanted to do. Maybe this something happening with you as well.

You are making decisions to do something but couldn't take control over that for longer. Like people take New year resolutions you must have taken them as well. But are you following it? Did you get enough motivation for that?
What is the truth behind it ? Why does it happen? Why we couldn't stay motivated for longer? You must be doing things with 100% will and your complete strength but things are not working out? perhaps this is the problem. You lose motivation because you didn't see the result and positive out comes. When result is rewarding you start enjoying the things you are doing, but when it doesn't give result you start getting frustrated from it and lose your motivation.

- Remind Yourself your goals:- Before doing anything specific wait for a sec and think it is worth doing thing? Remind yourself your goals which are more important to any other useless tasks you are doing. We tent to have short term and long term goals so keep them realistic so that you wont be disheartened if you didn't reach that. Keep challenging yourself, you wont see results if you don't challenge yourself. And it's not a goal if you lose sight of your goal. Keep tracking your goal and frequently check the progress than it will be easy to stay motivated.

- Make weekly checkpoints of your goals:- People need to see how they are keeping with their work and goals. and when you see that you are going right and even progressing fast you will be more motivated as i said before.

- Make sure to reward yourself of weekly achievements of your goals:- Its a healthy habit to obtain. It could be just a bowl of ice cream after a long workout or it could be a day to spa. It can be anything you like.

- Take a Break:- Even the most determined person has his limits. anyone can feel overwhelmed. you may be trying really harder and burning yourself and must needed break is something you need. If it is a fitness goal you should take 3 to 4 days rest instead of normal days. Or if studying then take 2 days off.

- Watch and read Motivational Stories and quotes:- Its healthy to take some motivation through these. Read a motivational quote which you relate most with., write it down or make a poster of it and paste it on your rooms wall. it will help. Do watch success stories of other people. Or you can read "The Secret".

Do be so hard on yourself:- Everyone fails for a short time. So if you don't reach your weekly goals then take it as a lesson and try achieving your next goal before time. It's not about how hard you hit, sometimes it's about how well you can take a hard hit. Accept the failure and go with it.
